New collection for Spring Summer 2016

Spring Summer 2016 by L’Autre Chose draws inspiration for its colours and patterns from Mexico: a palette with tones of beige, brown and sage works with prevalently trapezoidal forms that give structure to dresses and outerwear.

The ready to wear line is made with precious materials like georgette and silk twill, silk satin, stretch techno-crêpe and crêpe de chine, as well as cotton drill, viscose and jersey graced with Sangallo lace. The patterns that characterize the prints, indeed the whole collection, express a strong-willed femininity that finds its heroine in Frida Kahlo. Romantic flowers, stylized sparrows, geometrical cages, eyes, hearts and rings that transport fashion into a dimension of sophistication and dreams but also self-awareness.

The footwear collection offers a capsule to combine with the ready to wear and includes platforms, enhanced with clothing fabrics such as jacquard and jeans, sandals and some sportier models featuring patent leather with mirror-finish profiling. The Spring Summer 2016 collection boasts some super-sophisticated finishes: the shoes with a strap around the ankle have contrasting edges, the t-bar model has a bombé detail (lacquered, metalized or stitched). The wedges are enriched by shiny cork or an ABS insert, it too lacquered, tone on tone or metallized; the thin heeled sandals are characterized by micro-straps, metal eyelets or velcro fastenings lined with soft nappa, while the large heeled sandals have micro-studs, gold-coated leather or contrasting stitching for decoration. The espadrilles have embroidered hearts or stars, while the sneakers, slip-on or lace-up, are made of laminated nappa adorned by fringes or glitter openwork. Lastly, the pumps come in four versions (with a long, short, square or round toe) and with different heel heights, from 110 mm to the 20 mm of the ballerinas.

The bags and accessories collection by L’Autre Chose is in line with world of the ready to wear and the footwear. The leather bags are graced by decorative coloured plexiglass balls, while the canvas pochettes have colourful prints that go nicely with the pure cotton T-shirts in the ready to wear.
